2026 Changes: Juliet's Balcony & Casa di Giulietta Entrance
This year, there is a new entrance location, and booking rules, that were implemented to discourage overcrowding, and increase everyone's magical experience at Casa di Giulietta and Juliet's Balcony. Below are the details.

New 2026 Entrance: Teatro Nuovo, Piazza Viviani

The old entrance on Via Cappello has been changed. The new entrance is Piazza Viviani 10 around the block at the entrance to the Teatro Nuovo. The experience actually starts passing through the theatre, where you can learn about the story of Romeo and Juliet, walk the red carpet, see costumes and movie memorabilia of Romeo and Juliet. From the theatre you move to the courtyard and the rest of the experience.
When is the best time to visit Casa di Giulietta?

Generally, Wednesday morning and Thursday morning are the least busy times for Casa di Giulietta. 9:30 to 11:00 is recommended. While crowds are more unpredictable in the evening time especially with larger groups, Wednesday afternoon can also provide the greatest opportunities for shorter lines.
Is Online Booking Really Mandatory?
Tickets are booked online only. This was created to reduce overcrowding and maintain a wonderful experience for everyone. As of 2026, there is no physical ticket office at Casa di Giulietta.
Purchase TicketsHow to Avoid the Longest Lines
Weekends are busiest, as tourists visiting internationally and nationally are greatest in quantity and tickets sell fast. Saturday from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM are busiest, and sell out most quickly — this is before the lunch hour and after the lunch hour.
It is advisable to plan your trip in advance because there are quieter periods. This is particularly true if looking to minimize time in line and maximize opportunities with your friends and loved ones, particularly for photo opportunities.
